FAQ

Global Tournaments

  • Solo Tournament
Solo Tournaments are special events that allow you to compete with Commanders across the Wasteland in various arenas with different global objectives. Participation is optional, however, the outcome of each Global Tournament can alter the structure of the Wasteland, resulting in permanent changes to the game map, and unlock rewards or new game features for participating players.

Participation in Solo Tournaments requires Commanders to collect as many Tournament Points as possible by completing missions with various goals. The Tournament Points you've collected will then be tallied by STRATCOM. All Solo Tournaments are voluntary, and all participating Commanders will be rewarded according to their overall contribution.

All Commanders are divided into Leagues according to their respective Level: Novice, Amateur, Professional, Veteran, Master, and Expert. Even novice players who occupy the top positions in their Leagues can receive large rewards - not just the experienced players. The scale of your reward from Solo Tournaments depends on which League you belong to when you engage in the competition. You and your fellow Commanders are divided into Leagues before each Global Tournament, and you will remain locked in that League bracket for its duration, even if you level up during the course of the event.
  • Protocrystals
You can only earn Protocrystals by succeeding in certain Global Tournaments. You cannot purchase them using Titanium, Uranium, Credits, or Crystals, and you cannot exchange them or send them as a gift to other players. Other players can't raid Protocrystals from your Sector. You can use Protocrystals to purchase unique Modules that are required to train Xenotype Units. Once you've collected enough Protocrystals, go to the Black Market, open the "Protocrystals" tab, and select the Item you wish to purchase.

Check the Black Market to view the full list of Items and Sector improvements you are able to purchase.
  • Enemy Troop Takedown
In the Wasteland, it's survival of the fittest. This Tournament pits you against your rivals and gives you a chance to prove you're stronger! Battle other Commanders to get Tournament Points. The more enemy troops you take down, the more Points you'll get. There are huge rewards for Commanders who perform well!
  • Infestation Extermination
In this Tournament, Commanders are tasked with clearing out Infestations across the Wasteland. You'll get Tournament Points for each mutant you take out! Show no mercy - let's send Morgana a message! Commanders who succeed will be well compensated.
  • Raid Rally
This Tournament pits all the Commanders in the Wasteland against each other - not everyone can come out on top here! Raid the Sectors of your enemies - the more Resources you recover, the more Tournament Points you get. Be advised: other Commanders will be trying to raid your Sector at the same time. Tournament Points will be distributed on the basis of net Resources raided – so the amount of Resources that were taken from you will be subtracted from the amount of Resources you collect from successful Raids. This will make for a fluctuating Tournament score, so stay sharp and keep your Sector locked down until the end of the Tournament!
  • Emitter Takeover
This Tournament takes the battle from the arena into the global map. You will need to conquer and hold Emitters in order to earn Tournament Points, and the ultimate number of Tournament Points you collect directly depends on how many Units you take down at the Emitters.
  • Recruiting Race
In this Tournament, Commanders will compete against each other by racing to bolster their armies. Recruit, purchase or even restore troops - the higher the skill level of the Units, the more Tournament Points they will get you.
  • Research Race
Commanders don't need to demonstrate their skill on the battlefield here - it's all about intelligence. Make sure your soldiers are armed with the best possible equipment and your Sector runs smoothly by researching Technologies! The longer a Technology takes to Discover or Upgrade, the more Tournament Points you will get for it.
  • Construction Contest
Behind every powerful army, there is an efficient, well-run Sector. Construct and upgrade buildings in your Sector to get Tournament Points. The longer a building takes to construct or upgrade, the more Tournament Points you'll get for it. Whoever makes the most progress wins!
  • Clan Milestones
Clan Milestones are special marks on the Clan progress bar that multiply your personal rewards by a certain factor. They appear only in the "Milestone" Global Tournaments, where your Clan is able to participate together. The more your Clan succeeds at completing the Tournament objectives, the greater the Milestone you will reach and the higher your reward multiplier will be. The number of points needed to reach a new Milestone depends on the size of your Clan. The bigger the Clan, the more points needed to advance. Coordinate with your Clanmates and increase all of your Tournament rewards!
  • Clan Tournaments
STRATCOM values teamwork. Clan Tournaments are special types of Tournaments that your Clan can participate in together. Any Tournament Points you collect will be added to overall score of your Clan. The more Points your Clanmates collect, the bigger the Clan Reward you stand to earn. Be advised, Commander: all Clanmates will get the same Clan Reward. To qualify, you have to be permanent member of a Clan. If you see a Clan Tournament as locked, it means you have to complete your Clan Training or get promoted to a higher Clan Rank. Rally your Clanmates and coordinate to make sure everyone is pulling their weight, and you should have no problem getting big prizes!
  • XP Exhibition
Explore the Wasteland and gain Experience for in-game tasks. Doesn't matter how you earn it - only that you earn a lot of it! Show off your battle skills, take strides to develop your Sector or amaze other Commanders with breakthroughs in Technology. It's all fair game in this Tournament! You'll get one Tournament Point per Experience Point gained. As you grow, so will your rewards!

Be advised: Mercenary Operations are the one exception; they won't count for Tournament Points.
  • Tapsite Takeover
In this Tournament, you're tasked with capturing, occupying and defending Tapsites across the Wasteland. There are two ways to score Tournament Points.

You'll get Tournament Points for the Resources you successfully collect from them, so the longer you hold them, and the more Defensive troops you have stationed there to harvest Resources, the higher your score.

You'll also get Tournament points for any enemy troops you take out while fighting at Tapsites – regardless of whether you're on the offensive or defensive, and regardless of whether you win or lose the battle.

Be advised: Different Resources grant different amounts of Tournament Points. 10 Crystals collected, for example, are worth more Tournament Points than 10 Credits.

For more information on capturing Tapsites and harvesting Resources from them, refer to the "Tapsites" section.
  • Tapsite PVP
This Tournament tasks you with engaging in combat at Tapsites across the Wasteland. You'll get Tournament Points for every enemy troop you successfully take out in battle at Tapsites, regardless of whether you were defending one that you held or attacking someone else's. Even if you lose the battle, you will still score Tournament Points based on the amount of enemies you took down with you!

Be advised: Some troops may be worth more than others, in terms of Tournament Points.

For more information on the different ways to engage Tapsites, refer to the "Tapsites" section.

You will receive Tournament Points when you take down enemy Troops at any Clan HQ. Remember: the bigger and tougher Troops you can take down, the more Tournament Points you will earn!
