FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I can't attack a player. Why?
Users under level 9 have Newbie protection. They can attack any player but no one can attack their Sector. Users under level 15 (or the ones registered for less than 5 days) can only attack players of level under 15 (or the ones registered for less than 5 days). Users of level 15 and higher can only attack player of level 15 and higher.

Construct the Command Center and Barracks, research required Technologies, and purchase at least one unit to start military activity.

NOTE: If a player returns to the game after an extended period of absence, STRATCOM will place this Commander under 7 days of protection to allow them to get their Sector back to a combat ready state. Players under this protection can initiate an attack on any player, but no one can attack their Sector unless the protected player attacks them first.
  • How do I start the game all over?
You can't. There are no dead ends in the game, but there is also no restarting on the same account. Don't worry: even if you make some mistakes in the beginning, you can always develop your Sector up to a higher level and fulfill all of the General's Tasks. Be sure to follow the instructions in the order that they're given or you'll slow down your Sector's development by using up your resources too fast. If this happens, just wait awhile until you collect enough to continue.
  • Where did the General's Reinforcements go?
General's Reinforcements are in your Sector. Open 'My Sector' tab at Command Sector to view them. You can't command someone else's Reinforcements.
  • Can I cancel an attack/construction/upgrade?
You have 50 seconds to cancel sending Troop orders, Caravans, Building construction, and upgrades. 80% of construction or upgrading cost will be returned to your account.
  • Why did I acquire 0 Resources after my last Raid?
There is a weekly cap of 50,000 Resources than can be gained from looting (or gifting) in each Sector. You can go back and Raid this Sector again next week. Resources are calculated within the last 7 days.
  • Can buildings be destroyed?
No, they can't. You lose only Troops and Resources if you fail to defend your Sector. The stronger the enemy force is, the more units and Resources you will lose during a defeat.
  • How do I modify or remove existing buildings?
Click the "Edit" button in the right-hand panel. You can move all of your structures, but only some of them can be permanently deleted (Improvements, the Black Market, Defensive Constructions) once they have been constructed. Remember that you can expand your Sector if you find yourself running out of space.
  • When can I attack other Sectors?
Users under level 9 have Newbie protection. They can attack any player but no one can attack their Sector. Users under level 15 (or the ones registered for less than 5 days) can only attack players of level under 15 (or the ones registered for less than 5 days). Users of level 15 and higher can only attack players of level 15 and higher.

You can begin military activity only after you have constructed the Command Center and the Barracks. You must also have researched Artificial Intelligence, Implants, and Battle Formations Technologies and purchased at least one unit.
  • What does 'Invasion' mean?
Invading other Sectors allows you to prove your dominance over your rivals, place in the Invasion and Tribute Rankings, and harvest a percentage of your enemy's resource production. The Top 10 Players in the Weekly Invasion and Tribute Rankings may also earn Crystals for holding their positions. Simply invading an opponent will not eliminate them, affect their Sector development, or limit their actions. But you may also choose to colonize Sectors you are currently occupying. Once colonized, these Sectors will offer you a percentage of their Titanium or Uranium production.

To collect all Resources accumulated in a Colony, click "Collect" when the button is active.
  • I'm a Newbie. Why do I get attacked?
Users under level 9 have Newbie protection. They can attack any player but no one can attack their Sector. Users under level 15 (and the ones registered for less than 5 days) can only attack players of level under 15 (and the ones registered for less than 5 days). Users of level 15 and higher can only attack players of level 15 and higher. However: If you attack ANY player above Level 9 - YOU LOSE YOUR NEWBIE PROTECTION! If you initiate a war with another Sector while you're both below Level 15, it will continue even if one develops to the Senior levels above Level 15.

You can't begin any military activity until you have constructed the Command Center and the Barracks. You must also have researched Artificial Intelligence, Implants, and Battle Formations Technologies and purchased at least one unit.

  • Can I skip the tutorial?
You can complete the General's tasks at any time you choose, but it is HIGHLY recommended that you follow the instructions in the order that they're given or you risk slowing down your Sector's development by using up your resources too fast. You'll also be passing up an easy opportunity to earn Crystals early in the game. Some of the rules and instructions are complex, so take the time to learn how to complete basic tasks. If you wish to skip ahead you can refer to the Guidelines menu.
  • I run out of Credits all the time. Why is this happening?

  • Why didn't I earn any Raid Ranking points?

  • I have reached 10 Raid attempts. When do I get more?
You will receive a new Raid attempt every 2.5 hours.
  • How can I know if I'm about to be Reconned?

Use your Radar's 'Deposits' tab to locate and manage Deposits on the game map.
  • Why didn't I recover any Resources at an Infestation?
Not all Infestations offer Resources or recoverable Units with every try, but each successive Infestation you neutralize increased the odds of receiving a bonus on the next attempt. (It's not like flipping a coin - your odds WILL increase and you will eventually receive a bonus.)

Artifacts affect only your own Units. Sector Defense Bonuses influence all friendly Units currently stationed within your Sector, including friendly Reinforcements.
  • What is Antigen and where can I get it?
Any Clan that occupies an Emitter will have to defend it from increasingly powerful waves of attacking Mutants. With each successful defensive battle against the Mutants, your forces will extract and store Antigen from fallen Mutants within the Emitter.
This can be then used to convert your forces into powerful A-Mutants. A-Mutants boast considerably higher defensive and offensive statistics, in addition to costing far less to maintain than your regular forces.
You may only receive and use Antigen if your Clan Leader or Deputy Clan leader grants you Antigen usage privileges from the Clan Interface.
  • What are Clan Command Relays and where can I get them?
Clan Command Relays are communication upgrades that can be used by Clan Members to increase their Clan's maximum membership limit. (Max: 150 members)

Clan Members will automatically begin receiving Clan Command Relays for every 5th new level attained and can be applied through the Clan Interface.
  • Why did I stop getting new Campaign Missions?
To unlock further Campaign Missions, you must complete the indicated Infestation missions, located on the Radar Interface. Go to your Radar and select the "Missions" tab to see how to unlock further Missions.

If you have completed all 24 of the Campaign Missions, then there are no further Missions to unlock for the moment.

  • What are Echelon Points and how do I get them?
Echelon Points count towards the Level of your Echelon Status which, when activated, grants you powerful boosts, bonuses and improves the statistics of your Units and Sector. You earn Echelon Points just by logging into the game each day. For each consecutive day you log into the game, you will be rewarded with an increasing number of Echelon Points. The longer your run, the more Points you can earn.

As your total Echelon Points increase, so will your Echelon Level and the power of your accompanying bonuses when your Echelon Status is activated.

You may also acquire Echelon Points by purchasing them at the Black Market directly.
  • What is my Echelon Status and how do I activate it?
Your Echelon Status is a special gameplay modifier that grants powerful boosts and bonuses to the statistics of both your Sector and Units for a set period of time when activated.

Your Echelon Status has multiple Levels. Collect Echelon Points to increase the Level of your Echelon Status. Upon completion of each Level, Echelon Status will automatically be activated on your account for 24 hours. With each new Level gained, you will be rewarded with increasingly larger bonuses, boosts and other rewards.

To activate your Echelon Status, you must use Echelon Activators that can be earned by participating in special game events, or purchased at the Black Market from the "Misc." tab. Keep in mind that once activated, your Echelon Status cannot be canceled or aborted early.

To activate your Echelon Status, go to the Black Market, open the "Misc." tab and click the "Apply" button next to the Echelon Status Activator. Once your Echelon Status has expired, you must manually reactivate it.
  • What is Daily Duty Roster?
The Daily Duty Roster is a special loyalty program which will help you to earn valuable rewards just for logging into the game every day.

Visit the game every day to receive huge bonuses. Those who log in for 30 days consecutively will also be eligible for special bonus prizes at the end of each 30 day period. Logging in for 60 or 90 days in a row makes these bonus prizes even bigger! Be aware: If you skip a day your reward will be lost, so don't forget to claim your reward on time and keep coming back! Days are defined by UTC time. Daily Rewards refresh every 24 hours at 00:00 UTC time.

All you need to do is log into Total Domination every day in order to receive huge bonuses and rewards!

As you progress through each Daily Duty Roster period, your rewards and prizes will get bigger and better, so it is worth your time not to skip days.

Unfortunately, if you miss just one Daily Duty Roster day, your balance will be cancelled and you will need to start over. If you would like to view your Daily Duty Roster progress, all you need to do is go to the Echelon Status window and open the Daily Duty Roster Tab.

  • How do I upgrade my Troops?
You can upgrade your Troops either by going to the Tech Tree and upgrading the Technology that unlocked the unit, or by clicking "More" above the unit's icon in the description window and selecting the desired level.
  • How do I accelerate Troop production?
You speed up Troop production by clicking the "Boost" button - but only on one production line at a time, and only on the one currently in progress.
  • I have reached 20 Raid attempts. When do I get more?
You will receive a new Raid attempt every 2.5 hours.
  • Why are there different mine ratios for different players?
Some Sectors have more Uranium Mines - Others have more Titanium Mines. The amount of Uranium and Titanium ore available in each Sector is varied in order to encourage Trading with other players at the Trade Gateway. Exchange excess resources for ones you need - or sell them for additional Credits.
  • How can I know if I'm about to be Reconned?
Recon Drones cannot be detected while they are en route, so there is no warning. Your Combat Advisor will tell you whether you were successfully reconned only after the fact.
  • How do I create my own Clan?
At the current stage of the game Clans are not available. However, you can still organize your own Alliance however you like and recruit other Commanders. Some Alliances indicate their affiliations within their Sector name, which you can edit from your Senate building.
  • How do I expand my Sector if I have installed the Walls?
Expanding your Sector does not affect the number of Defensive emplacements you have installed. But after you expanded your Sector, each side of the Perimeter will be longer so you may notice unfilled spaces. You will be able to purchase more Perimeter constructions in order to fill the gaps and you can move and edit your emplacements to look more contiguous. These gaps do not negatively effect your Defensive Bonus.
  • What is the difference between Deposits and Tapsites?
Both Deposits and Tapsites are dedicated to producing one of the three main types of Resources (Uranium, Titanium, and Credits), along with special Resources such as Crystals or Bioplasma.

    RESOURCES COLLECTED

There are three types of Deposits: large, medium and small. The number of Resources produced by a Deposit and its storage capacity depend on its size. The higher a Deposit's Level, the more Resources it produces per hour, and the larger its capacity.

You will find Tapsites of different sizes on the Map according to your Level in the game. The speed at which Defensive Troops stationed at a Tapsite accumulate Resources depends on the Microrobotic Drill Technology upgrade Level. The number of Resources collected is determined by their carrying capacity.

    DEPOSIT AND TAPSITE DEPLETION

When a Deposit is depleted, it is removed from the Map. The time remaining until a Deposit's depletion is displayed on the pop-up Map menu and in your Administrative buildings (Command Center and Radar). A Tapsite will be removed from the Map when its Resources are depleted, or if no one has attacked or captured it for an extended period of time.

When new Deposits or Tapsites appear on the Map, they are vacant and unguarded – so try to be first to capture one. Any player can view the number of Resources stored there by positioning their cursor over it.
  • I earned additional Raid Attempts, but I can't use them. Why?
You can increase your daily limit for Raid attempts by:
    1. Activating your Echelon Status (at higher Echelon levels, this is one of the Echelon Bonuses; check the Echelon Bonuses window to see if you qualify)
    2. Completing Achievements in the Logistics Center (inviting your friends)
    3. Upgrading the "+1 Raid Attempt" attribute in your Tech Nexus.

If you earn, for example, 4 extra Raid attempts, it does not mean that you can go raid 4 Sectors right away. What these "extra Raid attempts" mean is that the cooldown between Raids is reduced.

Without these "extra Raid attempts", you receive a new Raid attempt only every 2.5 hours. This means that you could only perform a maximum of 10 in a day. Now, for example, with your Echelon Status activated for 24 hours, the cooldown time between Raid Attempts is decreased to the point where you could fit in 4 additional Raid Attempts in a 24 hour period, and you can now raid your enemies 14 times instead of 10 in one day!
